Adam Eakle

Adam is a lifelong Utahn who has been fishing and hunting in Utah since he could hold a rod and rifle. He credits his father with instilling a love of the outdoors and the importance of being a responsible outdoorsman.  

His outdoor passions are hunting elk, deer, upland game, fly fishing, and chasing fish anywhere in Utah. He especially loves fishing Lake Powell with his family.

Hunting for Adam has never been about bagging the biggest bull or buck or catching the biggest fish (not that he doesn't try every time!), but making memories with family and friends. He believes that hunting is about the journey, not the outcome. Adam began guiding in 2001 and started guiding at Deseret Land and Livestock in 2007.  

Adam feels it is an honor to guide for such an outstanding outfitter as Wild Country. An outfitter that promotes safety, sustainable management, and integrity on one of the best ranches in the West. 

Adam has been working in the media for 34 years. For the past 18 years, he's hosted KSL Outdoors with Adam Eakle.  Because of work, he is only on the ranch a few weeks a year but relishes every chance to help people of all ages and experience levels enjoy the thrill of hunting Deseret.  

Adam's love of the outdoors is only surpassed by his family. He has been married to Tonya, the love of his life, for 32 years. They have four children, Alex, Madison, Taylor, and Ethan, along with four grandchildren.
