Since the age of 5, when his father started him on his lifetime quest of hunting big game animals, Dan has pursued his dreams of becoming a complete hunter. After years of hunting for himself he decided he would enjoy helping others to fulfill their dreams of harvesting their trohpy animals.

In the late 1970’s he started guiding cougar and bear hunters. A few years later he began guiding elk and deer hunters as well. His quest has led him from his home state of Utah, to several wilderness areas in Central Idaho and back, guiding for as many as 9 months of the year.

Hunting all over the west has given him the opportunity to observe many different populations of animals in multiple landscapes, thus enabling him to learn their habits and traits. After nearly 35 years of providing his services as a guide and packer, he feels providing the client with an enjoyable and memorable experience is every bit as important as harvesting their trophy of a lifetime.

Dan spends his off season as a Wildland Fire Manager and creating custom leather goods he sells worldwide.
