We allow fly fishing gear and spin fishing gear on the lakes and ponds
Fly fishing only on all streams (no exception)
All hooks must be single hooks, and all barbs must be smashed down
Treble hooks are not allowed

Fishing Equipment List:
Fishing licenses are NOT needed for fishing the ponds and lakes. But you must purchase a Utah fishing license if you want to fish any of the streams and are 12 or older. Click here to buy a license

5-7 weight

2-4 weight rods preferred (but a five weight will still work)

Flies (lakes and ponds): all flies need to be barbless or barb-pinched down
April/May:
Seal buggers, wooly buggers, crystal buggers, minnow patterns, leech patterns, chironomids, prince nymphs, pheasant tails, hares ears, balanced buggers/leeches/flies, and Denny Rickards’ flies are highly recommended
June/early July
Chubby Chornobyl, damsel nymphs, adult damsels, still water nymphs, seal buggers, wooly buggers, crystal buggers, minnow patterns, leech patterns, prince nymphs, pheasant tails, hares ears, balanced buggers and leech patterns, and Denny Rickards’ flies are highly recommended.
Flies (middle and upper Lost Creek above the reservoir): all flies must be barbless or barb-pinched down.
Size 10-16: Royal Wulff, stimulator, humpy, Chubby Chornobyl, foam ants, foam hoppers, elk hair caddis.
Middle Lost Creek has deeper holes, and using some nymphs can be effective under an indicator fly—pheasant tails, prince nymphs, euro nymphs, etc.
Early season (May and early June during runoff): San Juan worm, small streamers, wooly/crystal bugger patterns, size 10-12 royal wolf, stimulator, humpy
Flies (Lower Lost Creek below the reservoir): all flies must be barbless or barb-pinched down.
Chubby Chornobyl, prince nymphs, pheasant tails, hares ears, midges, soft hackle flies, streamers, San Juan worm, euro nymphing nymphs, elk hair caddis.

Tippet:
Lakes and ponds: 1x-3x fluorocarbon
Streams and creek: 3x-5x fluorocarbon
Leader (Monofilament leaders are fine. Attach 2-3 ft of fluorocarbon tippet with a double surgeon knot or a blood knot)
7ft for upper Lost Creek
9ft for lower Lost Creek, Ponds, Lakes

Rubber net (please, no nylon nets). For the ponds and lakes, you will need a big boat net.
