Rick Larsen
Rick resides in beautiful Rich County with his wife and six children. He loves hunting, fly fishing, and camping. He is addicted to elk calling and his passion is archery elk. He has been guiding on Deseret since 2004. He started guiding the youth hunters on the weekend cow hunts. His day job is Principal of the local high school, wrestling coach, and wildland’s firefighter (Aka, Dan Ames’s sidekick).
He loves guiding and takes his own kids to Colorado each year where he guides them on the youth tags and has taught each one how to successfully call in and harvest elk. His forte is up close and personal interaction with and talking to the elk. He prides himself in making sure his clients have a world class experience enjoying the beautiful wildlife and magnificent scenery that Deseret offers. Whether chasing trophy bulls or sneaking in on wary cows, he tries to create a unique and once-in-a-lifetime experience for his hunters. “My most enjoyable experiences are when I see a client’s face light up when they come face-to-face with a magnificent, screaming elk”
